Time to get on the blogging trail again. Have not been feeling well the last couple days, so laying low. Did manage to get my airline tickets to go back to the Caribbean though. They have a red eye direct from LAX into San Juan, on my favorite airline of them all, American... Oh well, if I take a sleeping pill when I get on the plane I should be good for the night and wake up in San Juan I figure.
The game of packing and sending boxes is still being played. Our place that holds our mail in St Thomas is going to HATE us until we get those boxes out of there i believe!
Mom will be glad to know that one of the first things on Bazzas "to do" list (yes, folks, he has a NEW to do list now....how do you think I keep him out of trouble??) was to put in a fan in "her" bathroom which entailed cutting things in the roof. Since he had also fixed and tarred the roof it apparently was all the best to do at the same time.
But, to my husbands ever lasting delight though, he not only has many work shops, but he has his own "electronic room". And here he is very busy on his "electronic desk" I opened a couple of the cupboards in there and could not believe how quickly he had filled it up with "stuff" And fedex and UPS showing up at the door daily!!
I found the perfect thing to put on the counter in my office. A margarita machine! Although I hate margaritas, I can live with vodka type things in it too... I think it goes perfectly there!
This is the view out our kitchen window. You can "see" the hills and the Lion has its own little bed in the back yard. I can't believe how much "stuff" we had in that. It took me hours to unload some of it into the house...
Of course I managed to find time to go out for steak one night. Outback is about it here. We tried another place called Black Angus and it was really not very good at all. Not at all. The decor was 60's cheap low end steak house. You guys who live in the states probably know all the ins and outs of the different chains, but I have to discover them now myself...
Our two lovely realtor ladies from Tarbell, Robin and Lisa, showed up at my door with a BBQ cover as a house warming gift. I thanked them and said "Now I guess I will have to buy a BBQ" but they soon showed me that they had taken care of that already! I told them that I did not think real estate PAID that well nowadays and they told me "the size of the housewarming present was directly proportional to how much they liked the client" I was not sure where that put me on the scale but I liked the present!!!
They left it for Bazza to put together. He drove in the drive way later and came in the house wondering why there was a BBQ in the middle of his garage...
Tonight was another big occasion! the SECOND meal I made in our new house! As you can tell here I am artfully working on my presentation in preparation for serving meals on the boat again in a couple weeks. I think this display turned out especially well don't you???
Speaking on the boat, some of you may recall when I came back from the islands in November, I was shocked to look at my clothes in the first world and see exactly how much like rags they looked. Embarassingly so! I do admit I go for comfort much more then style ( no kidding kerry, this from the girl who goes from nightgowns to swimsuits and back again on the boat!)
Since I was feeling a bit under the weather, I thought while Bazza was playing projects (back to the ROV now since he is soon to go back to the boat!) yesterday I decided to go see what Macy's had in my size bracket. I have included this picture to show you that BEFORE heading to the yacht I bought a whole new selection of NON RAGS. I have already shipped the new swim suits and nightgowns down! Now, I know, in three washings, after the local laundries have gotten hold of my clothes they will look like rags again, but if you are on our boat in the next month, you get to see me in non rags!!!! AND colorful ones at that!
That is all from me for a Sunday evening. Time to see what is on for me to watch in my last week of watching my HD Directv!!!
