The last day of charter was a busy, busy time. First Simeon left for Red Hook to pick up his boat...(we wanted to make sure that he would be able to get back up here before Thursday!) and then we went to Sandy Spit for a last few hours of pull toys..
We needed to drop off 4 of our guests to catch the 230 ferry back to St thomas as they were flying out so early in the morning. At 10 to 2 while there, "dad" realized that the other ones had a 1030 AM flight tomorrow not after 11, and they had to go on the 230 as well. Boy was it a crazy packing scene for 20 minutes! Just as we got them over there the skies opened up and poured a lot of rain for the first time in days...
Then we find out (and believe me, I had asked less then 24 hours ago) that they canceled the 230 ferry and it was now 415! Back to the boat they come for cocktails..
It was all rather hectic and jumbled! After getting everyone away, we were down to one guest, so I did what i do best and took him diving! We went for a drift dive (except it was slack tide so no current) down the channel side of Little Thatch. I have not done this one before. The black corals were amazing...

These places with tons of currents always seem to have great soft corals. This was no different!

Wayne has an arrow crab, and I believe we saw more arrow crabs then I have ever seen anywhere here...

Look at the colors!

The Barrel sponges were absolutely amazing...

We peered in about every single one to see what we could see...

Wayne found a little spotted eel that we watched...

The sizes, colors and shapes of these sponges were absolutely about the best I have seen here. Since I have seen some fairly dead reefs lately, this was a pleasant surprise...

I saw such collections and colors of coral, and eggs, as I have don't believe i have ever seen here before...

We both enjoyed it immensely and the water was very clear...

Nice grin Wayne... We ended doing a very unlike Kerry dive, as it was very slow, as Wayne likes it...for a photographer under water, I still dive quickly, I tell myself that I am trying to get some exercise in!

The boat had followed us so when we came up it was RIGHT THERE to pick us up...

By that time the wind and seas had picked up and I think i whined all the way back to Roadtown as I was getting wet in the cockpit!!! I took the car back up to the marina and met the boat back there. We sat down for dinner about 830 and the table really looked lonely!!!

Wait! Who let Brent join them in his best bib and tucker???

We all enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs very much and an early bed was had by everyone...

Wayne is shrugging as if to say "c'est la vie"
We had a good sleep with Wayne beating everyone up by several hours, we had a leisurely breakfast of french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon around 10 or so and then at the right time we ran down Wayne to West End where he was going out on Yes Dear, through Voyage for a week with a different set of friends and relatives, a bit older group then the ones we had this week!
