It is another beautiful day in the British Virgin Islands. Well, OK, it is still quite windy, but we are heading downwind now, so all is good! Had to pull into Leverick Bay and get SOME fuel this morning, as we used a bit more then we thought and were sucking fumes. $4.00 a gallon there, $3.25 a gallon at Delta Dock in Roadtown, so we just picked up enough. Leverick Bay is obviously doing a very good job with that marina, as it is very busy in there most of the time now and the resort looks good.
It was then off for a sail somewhere where we could go for a dive, and that somewhere was The Chimney on the Dogs. I was down 20 minutes before everyone else, so I fooled around taking pictures. Had not been in the water for a couple days, it was sure nice to get into it. The water temp is sitting at a nice round 79 degrees, no wetsuit for this chubby little girl needed!

As always, the silhouette shots I love so much. I think the boat is just as pretty from the bottom as it is from the front of it. It really does have great lines!

Second Flatworm I have seen in a week, more then I usually see for years, so maybe they are resurging??

Took plenty of pictures of it while waiting for the divers...

They finally popped in the water and we were off...

Lots of pretty fish. It has been probably years since I have dove on the Chimney and i have forgotten how pretty it is!

We had all resort divers on this dive (their second dive!) so we kept them up off the bottom mostly, but they were absolutely enchanted with the scenery.

They almost all look like pro's!

great Dive anyways!!

We put up the sails and continued on our way, trolling on the outside of the islands, to see what we could get. First we caught a yellow tail, well, we really did not catch it, as it was firmly hooked through the back, not in the mouth at all! Silly Yellow Tail. We took him off and let him go...
A Sand Diver also jumped on our line, which is quite unusual trolling in the ocean I would say as they tend to live on the bottom.

He was dead when we came up and became bait.

I was below decks answering emails and we were under full sail when I heard the sails coming down and the boat going in full speed reverse. Seemed a little excessive just because we had a fish on, but apparently we had quite a fish on....Jeff was fighting like crazy and reeling and letting him run, saying "big fish, big fish"

He told Chad to reel in the other line quickly, which turned out to have the smallest baby tuna on it, and made Chad comment to Jeff "well, I got mine in, where is yours??"

The boys were all lined up looking to see if they could see what it was. We knew it was not a barracuda as it was too deep....

Brought her up and Bazza grabbed it on the first try...

I don't think I have ever seen so many men in brightly colored swim suits...

Jeff had caught a King Mackerel. Largest one we have ever caught. Now is one of the moments when the fishermen in the group are ecstastic, as it was quite a catch and the divers alternate between being sorry to see it being taken and amazed at how beautiful it is...

No mistaking the look on the fishermans face and how happy he was though!

Also no mistaking the look on Simeons face either!!

It was a solid 50 lbs at least, and yes, it is on the barbecue as well as in the freezer providing fish for the next three charters I am sure!
After a stop at Monkey Point On Guana Island for a snorkel, it was on our way to Marina Cay to hear Michael Beans play one last time this week...As much as I love Beans and the song "Regatta" I don't think you will see us sitting there in the next 4 nights that we have OFF charter! yippee!! Simeon has to go to Barbados to get his US visa, so we will truly be alone, as my son Chad, goes home tomorrow as well. I, of course, will be sorry to see him go, he is always "in tune" with me on charter and has a great personality for this.
