Lisa told me to write a blog entry

It is getting really bad when Lisa reminds me that it is time for me to update my blog! I am still sitting in bed this morning, Bazza snoring beside me, although it seems like he is a long way away as we have a king sized bed. With the 45' TV at the end of it, I am wondering how I am going to make out getting myself up into the crew cabin bed on the boat.

Apparently I was whining somewhat on my blog as I received an email from smitty, who is MY FIRST charter back on the boat in April saying in part:

"I get home to 100 unopened e-mails and I hit your blog and see all this whining about heat, cooking, no big screen, no Costco's. Kind of sounds like an Orange County Housewife. I'm not sure but I think we are your first or second charter, I would have to think that we were one of the easiest groups to handle but boy we are nervous now. I guess we will all have to reconsider the scuba lessons this year and Bill was determined to water ski, the girls had planned multi shopping stops and we heard Kenny Chesney is in the Islands; so multiple sorties to the beach bars will be needed. Or we could just be our usual selves swim and snorkel, listen to music and fall asleep at 10:30pm. "

What do you mean you intend to stay up until 10:30 Smitty?? 9:30! Please!! I only promised one night of late for this charter!! In all truth they are a very easy and enjoyable charter. And they love going exploring to deserted spots with me. I wonder where we can get to this time?? Counting on the weather cooperating!

My parents did an outstanding job at cleaning up our house for us. Without them I would be facing a long uphill battle. They went back to Victoria and we are thoroughly going to enjoy our time here. I am in my glory. Shopping for things for the house, shopping for things for the boat. Being told by my husband that some things I want to buy for the boat have micro processors and they just. will. not. work. properly. on. generator. inverter. boat. power. Too bad! I had one of those Keurig instant coffee machines in my cart last night for the boat along with lots of refills.

He had told me earlier that they did not last on the boat. I tried to convince him that MAYBE they would be ok if we just used it on generator power, or shore power (which is a laugh, our shore power is up and down all over the place). He was not agreeing with me and thought it was a waste of money. I told him to give me a "yes or no" (Yes people, a) the look on his face said that he thought he was in a bad spot if he told me NO and 2) I must have been somewhat ambivalent as if I really wanted it I would have NOT asked for a "yes or no" but just bought it)

It was a no. I put it back. And then said I remembered taking pictures of yacht Catatonic having one on board last fall at the boat show. I will email them and see whether it held up or not.

I cooked the first meal in our new house. We have managed to eat out for every single meal up until now. ANd what was the first meal???


Nacho's while we watched "Dancing With The Stars!" Of course...I am getting tired of eating out every meal but remind myself that once I go back to Tortola I will get really used to home cooked meals, as, unless I have become a billionaire, there is not enough money to eat out all your meals there. Never mind finding restaurants I like.


My oldest son Chad had sent me this random picture. No caption. I looked at it and could not see anyone that looked like Chad, although I could figure out they were made up...


THen a while later he sent more. Finally I could see a Chad move. Which is exactly like a Brent move from the yacht. He is the one of the left! I must be really old if he is this old!!!

I had to shut down the comments on here as well as the yacht one. The spam is overwhelming the last day on here as well and I can barely keep up with deleting it. I obviously have to get some more spam controls or different ones on these. It is just not that high on the priority list.

There is my blog entry for the day. Time to go to my nice little office now and do some work!
