I had such a FUN day today!! Not normally something you hear me speak of when I have to check out of the BVI, check into the USVI and go to ST Thomas, but there is a first time for everything. We went for a dive this afternoon off St Thomas.
I saw a Southern Stingray, with quite a few scars on his back...

An anchor winch that Bazza thinks is quite old.. lots of chain and bits of ship...

And just to make me REALLY happy! Lots of old bottles and old pottery!

Since I was in the water by myself, I had arranged with Bazza how long I would be under for, and I kept on looking at my gauge wishing time would slow down. We were out where the clam buckets dumped the dredging material from Charlotte Amalie Harbour and we found some great finds. WHen I came up, he went in....

He said it was the best dive he had done in years...We found old gin bottles, torpedo bottles, mallets, milk bottles, and at least 4 with seals or stamps on them! Here are some of them soaking overnight, tomorrow I will be sure to put up close pictures of the more interesting items along with what they say.... We were both giddy with excitement.

On top of that a little Octopus came home with me! He was so cute, but not that happy about finding himself on the boat...

Here he is close up on my finger which shows how small he is! I took his picture and set him free.

We are now anchored in Charlotte Amalie, and we have been watching every season of Mad Men the last few nights, in between the last season of the Deadliest Catch and I can't wait to get to bed to watch more.
