Almost last day in Victoria

Today was a big day in Victoria. Neither my mom nor I were out of our pajama's until it was time to take our trip to Dairy Queen tonight for a Peanut Buster Parfait before we went home!
We did do the DNA tests that I had gotten my parents. They had to spit in a tube for 5 minutes, my mother must have taken about 12 minutes to get it filled...

Yep, Dairy Queen...

It was good, and followed by a Harvey's Burger. I think I have gotten in all the comfort foods that I can around Victoria!

I always forget this is a tourist area, and we took a drive around tonight downtown. It was very pretty, great views, but the only thing I took a picture of was a peacock in Beacon Hill Park! That is the extent of my sightseeing this trip....

For those people who know me, they will understand this picture all too well. And, no, I am not referring to the rather large plate of Perogies/Putaha!! (although they were homemade and good!)

Tomorrow is busy, take the RV back to storage, do a bit of shopping and start the trek back to the BVI. Leave for Seattle tomorrow afternoon and i don't believe our flight to Houston goes out until midnight or so.

Well, that was a whirlwind trip. Have a safe trip back to the BVI's. We were very happy that you all could get up to Victoria for the big 50th and that you had a very good time.

I don't think very long, we get in at 710 tomorrow morning and leave again at 10..

If it is longer I would love to take you to lunch or "brunch" ... or at least get you out of the airport for a bit.

Well, there you go passing me again! First it was me in the BVI's who narrowly missed you at Monkey Point, then Jost..now you are coming through Houston! I will warn you, it is HOT here and it will be so even at midnight! Hopefully you won't have to get out in it!

Kerry, you have to believe me when i tell you that even a Kansas girl can make homemade perogies, gwumpki, dumplings and stuffed cabbage. I am Irish but have lived with a polish man for many years. I am sure I didn't spell gwumpkie correct either!!! haha. It looks like your folks had an amazing day!! (week) Have a safe journey back to the BVI!!

Donna, you are a woman after my own heart being able to make all those things! Although I don't believe looking at you that you have ever eaten any of them!!!
