I think it is more tiring on turn around day on charter then it is on charter! We always think we are going to be finished early but it never quite ends up that way. The list of items I am receiving in my food order is far outshadowed this year by the list of items that are
OUT To top off this week one of the liquor wholesalers when I called this afternoon just before they closed to see what time our order was coming said there "computers had been down a few days and they received no orders" so there was a crazy mad dash into town to pick that up. I know, I know, I should call to confirm that they received the order when I don't hear from them, but I seldom do hear from them even when asking and it is sssooooo painful calling there to find out whether they received the order. How painful? Well, more painful then dealing with it when the order does not show up thats how painful! They ask who we are many times, say they have not checked the email yet and when asked to check it say they will check in a while and call us back (which they never do...) and it goes on from there. All is well though and we have received about everything finally that we needed to do another weeks charter, although it entailed going to Riteway, One Mart and Bobbys one more time!
The girls wanted to finish up last night with dirty martini's, which we only had one taker for, but Kerrys alcoholic coffee drink at cocktail hour was a sure hit!

I am not sure you can see very well, but I gave the Wenches a brand new tablecloth tonight with instructions not to spill anything...(and they did not)

Last nights dinner was a chicken pesto pasta, and it was the first time this week we had pasta, so I think everyone enjoyed it, but probably not as much as the brownies and ice cream afterwards it appears!

An early sail this morning as we had girls on the 10 AM ferry, and Lisa looks very wistful in this picture...

We had a wonderful sail across playing Beans Happppyyyy AAArrrr, and Betsy doing her bird dance! It was a perfect ending to the week.

Some were staying on island, some on St thomas, so everyone went their separate ways with lots of hugs and good wishes, and we headed back up to the marina.
As always, our guests are very good at leaving us nice comments and here are this weeks. We truly did enjoy our Adventurous Wenches, and they have a few more trips coming up in January and February, if you are an "Adventurous Wench" and you can see more details
at this link.
Thanks for a great week. You were able to share me spots I have never seen before. Bazza, Kerry and Simeon you were fantastic. I was pleased you had dinner with us it made us feel so welcome. Thank you for a wonderful time. I feel relaxed and rested, but so sad to leave. Have a good season, see you next Year! BETSY, RHODE ISLAND
You have made all of us very happy this week. Everything an Adventurous Wench would want. Speaking for myself, I enjoyed the family atmosphere- the happy hour conversations combined with fine service and laughter, laughter and more laughter. Our comfort was always on your mind. Best wishes to all of you. My daily ritual will include reading the blog so keep it going! CLARA, THUNDER BAY ONTARIO
This was one of the highlights of my life! And I have traveled from Japan to Guatemala. Thank you for catering so much to us and making sure all of our wishes happened. I will be recommending this to everyone and the blog really enhanced the experienced! JOAN, NEW ORLEANS
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I had a great time. Thanks for making me a guests and not just a passenger!! Everything was way more then I expected. The Rhone was amazing, thanks Simeon I will never forget it. WENDY, TORONTO ONTARIO
What an incredible trip that was full of so many "firsts" Bubbly Pools, Brewers Bay, Ginger Island, even beachcombing on Cooper Island. Thank you for planning so well to visit so many new places. Even taking the helm to come about was a first. Thanks so much for all your hard work. You made it appear effortless but we all know it takes a lot of planning. Great job! PS: Dinner together was fun- like family! MARGOT, PORT COQUITLAM, BC
What a great week! (in spite of that one day-you know- when I should have taken my dramanine!) I loved everything, how lucky you are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I'll be keeping up with you on the blog! Thank you for everything. LISA, WASHINGTON DC
As a follow up to our little rodent story that had managed to get on the boat on dock, we knew we had gotten rid of him, but we were having a hard time finding him, although we knew the smell would eventually lead us to him (Laurie, don't read any further!!) Last turnaround we tore apart many places looking and never found him, although toward the end of this week it was starting to narrow down a bit. It still took us tearing up the entire boat practically, which was Bazzas job. I sat back. He asked me to look in things with a flashlight and I helpfully said " No, I don't think so, if I see something I will scream and have a heart attack" he told me that he hoped I saw something!

Well, of course he was in about the most difficult place in the boat to get to, under the shelf that had a billion pounds of house batteries on!! But, he is gone and we are thinking that we will keep rat poison out on the dock...at the far end of the dock not at this end of the dock of course!!!
It grossed me out as well, and I know why boats have cats!!!!
