Kerry: From Don't stop the Carnival: "If it doesn't work out, there'll never be any doubt, that the pleasure was worth all the pain"!!!! Tell Bazza I say Hello and if he needs a mate for that boat, I have a strong back and a weak mind.

Reading your blog reminds me constantly why I like being back in the first world. I like my internet and telephone, albiet still pricy in Canada.

I am trying to contact the Charter boat couple....
My wife and I have a 50 foot Gulfstar, which we have just spent 3 years doing a complete refit of in Ft. Lauderdale. Well, we want to start a chartering enterprise out of St. John, this year, and I noticed in your blog entries something about work permits and being a commercial vessel in the BVIs. I have not run into anything about any requirements for chartering out of the USVIs, but am VERY curious about requirements amongst the BVIs for charter vessels?? Would you please reply and let us know what we are missing, and need for any requirements to do chartering from St. John into the BVIs? We both have the USCG Captains' (6Pack) licenses, with the STCW certificates up to date. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Doug & Evelyn
HI Doug, got your message, and I shall send you an email in a day or so.
I will assume three things. 1) that you are both americans 2) that your boat will be under the 6 pack as far as inspection? 3) that you are doing day charters not overnight. If you confirm that it will help me know what to tell you! |
