catamaran and trimarans
Sometimes called boats with training wheels, catamarans and trimarans are gaining in popularity each year, and in the Caribbean, it is almost standard to HAVE these boats in the charter fleet as opposed to a monohull. Multihulls usually offer more deck and cockpit space per person then monohulls, are much more stable, and as they have more space, have more TOYS! These are great for people who want easy access to the water for diving and snorkeling, and most sail well, if not quite as thrilling for those who want the "heeled over wind in your face" feeling that monohulls give you.
