Green Flash
47' Catana, 1999 owned and operated by Arthur and Sherry who are from California. Arthur and Sherry researched the type of yacht they wanted, and then after finding this yacht in Peru did an extensive refit on it in 2008.
Green Flash can take up to 6 guests in 3 cabins, one of those cabins has single beds. The yacht does not have air conditioning. I believe it was one of the prettiest boats with all the different table settings and attention to detail of all the boats I saw at the Tortola boat show this fall.
Arthur writes his own music, and loves to sing and entertain as well. I think this crew embodies the "Californian Lifestyle"
If you are interested in taking your ASA sailing certifications onboard, then Green Flash has an arrangement with Derek Escher (currently with the Multihull Co) who will come on board and teach, while Arthur and Sherry take a break back in California.
Yacht rates run between $10,000 and $12,000 for up to 6 guests, 7 nights.
