Update October 2011: This yacht has again been out of charter for a few years and now has a crew on it and going back into the charter business! They will be showing at the St Thomas Boat show next week so I can get new pictures of it and see what kind of shape it is in, but until then, here is the comments from the new crew..

Last season was a busy and successful one for Melony and I aboard Hypnautic, with 23 groups of highly satisfied guests. Thank you for your help in that success, we absolutely could not have done it without your work and support. As was announced in August, Hypnautic will now be owner operated. We wish them luck for a successful season. While we were surprised and saddened to leave a boat we liked so much, we focused on finding new opportunities.

This season Melony and I are thrilled that we will be back in the Virgin Islands charter fleet aboard the Irwin 68 Elektra. As one of the cruising classics, Elektra offers some different possibilities and rewards than Hypnautic, both for us as crew and for guests. The traditional sailing experience is truly something magic and we are excited to be able to share that with new guests. Elektra has space and comfort in abundance, both on deck and inside. She is unique among her peers as an owners addition with a huge master suite. Recently refitted with new systems, she is in prime shape.

Of course our commitment as crew to top-notch service remains unchanged. As young, skilled crew with our enthusiasm, work ethic, and Mel's amazing food, we believe we can bring something special to this part of the charter market.
